FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Jan 26. vs Sudbury

FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Jan 26. vs Sudbury

1: 2 Weekend Dates

The Lightning are back at home this weekend with 2 games, one against the Island Storm tonight at 7PM and another versus the Sudbury FIVE Sunday afternoon at 2PM. The Island Storm have been on a recent skid losing 3 straight and going 2 for 8 in their last 10 games. The Storm do have a win against the Lightning from earlier in the season but they have yet to win a game on the road. The Storm could sneak up on the Bolts however if they underestimate them, especially due to the Storms ability to grab rebounds ranking first in the NBLC which very well could be enough to give the Lightning a run for their money. As long as the Lightning stay focused and play their game, it should be strong night for the Bolts.

2: New Power Duo?

This past road trip saw the return of Garrett Williamson and came back strong averaging 21 points 4 assists and almost 4 rebounds, making a statement in all 3 games. Jaylen Babb-Harrison was starting in place of Williamson while he was resting an injury and proved to be a great option and a very capable shooter. Since he started receiving more minutes on January 4th Babb-Harrison has shot 47% from 3 point range. Total in January he has shot 44% on a little over 6 attempts a game, and overall over in the season he is 11th best in the league with a 41% from deep. With Williamson back in the starting lineup that moves Jaylen back to the bench but he still receiving 20 or more minutes and he made good use of those minutes shooting 9 of 12 from the field and 7 of 10 from deep for 25. With the combination of Babb-Harrison and Williamson there could be a more diverse offense and be more spread out for either when the starters or bench lineup is in the game.
