The London Lightning illustrated their determination in a heart-stopping double-overtime victory against the Pontiac Pharaohs, securing a 154-152 win despite facing adversity with a short bench.
The absence of star guard Chris Jones, who stayed behind, did not deter the Lightning from delivering their 3rd win of the season. Leading the charge was Corey Boyd, who earned Player of the Game honors with an outstanding 32-point performance, including clutch baskets in key moments. Paul Parks contributed an impressive 31 points, displaying his versatility, while Joel Kindred stepped up with 28 points, including a game-saving three-pointer in the final seconds of regulation to force overtime.
The game was a testament to the Lightning’s depth, as they fought through fatigue and a relentless Pharaohs squad. From start to finish, the battle featured high-intensity play and unforgettable moments, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
With this victory, the London Lightning continue to solidify their reputation as a team capable of overcoming challenges and fighting for their 4th straight title.
The team returns to Canada Life Place on December 21st at 7pm, with a special guest appearance from the big man himself, Santa.
